Although you are still waiting to take, or are awaiting the results of part one, there is no harm in being positive and giving thought to your part two preparation. There is no surprise or secret to why we have had such good results in training both prospective Sergeants and Inspectors, we can offer you the following which can put you on the track to success.

  • One day intensive or two day small group training programmes with dates to suit in March and April for Inspectors, September and October for Sergeants.
  • Two trainers for each course to guarantee quality tuition.

  • One day intensive course to get you started at a reasonable price.
  • Small group two day course, limited to six places for maximum benefit.
  • Five minute stations with full brief, marking guide and personalised feedback.
  • A simulated mock exam at the end of the two day programme.
  • Private venue in the Nottingham area for the two day programmes.

Exam Plus training is delivered by experienced and qualified trainers with a combined training experience of over thirty years and combined police experience of over forty years. We will do the role acting and assessing so you get to concentrate on the real work of being a successful candidate.

The format of our training programme

One Day Intensive
Opportunity to practice, watch and learn how to do stations in the exam format with key information about marking and preparation skills.

Two Day Small Group Training
Opportunity to personally practice more stations, obtain key information on preparation, marking and information gathering and giving skills together with a mock exam on the afternoon of the second day.

Personalised Mock Exams
An opportunity to do a full six station mock with preparation time followed by all six stations in real time. This is followed by a full debrief and assessment of your marks highlighting areas for your development. The ultimate preparation for the exam.

Promotion Board Training
This includes training and coaching on written exercises used for selection, PDP preparation, interview and presentation skills training relevant to the rank being sort. Call us for full details on our promotion board training.

Martin J. Smith
Martin has been delivering part two training for both the Sergeants and Inspectors examinations for the past ten years and has extensive experience in the design, delivery and assessment of competency based examinations.

He is a qualified Police trainer and NVQ assessor / internal verifier, aside of his experience delivering to Police Organisations both in the UK and the USA he runs his own training consultancy which has delivered training to a number of leading public and private organisations over the past five years.
Garry Chadwick
Garry is an experienced trainer who has worked for a number of public and private organisations. He is a leading authority in Diversity training and was prominent in the delivery of key programmes for Nottinghamshire Police for a number of years.

Garry has a sound knowledge of interview skills and brings an added dimension to the Exam Plus programmes relating to promotion board interviews.
